Based on reviewing the studies of TCM and clinical research about prostatic calculus and relating the tutor's clinical experience, the research puts forward that the theory of "damp disease".damp-cause-disease,wind-clear-damp and wind-medicine-apply are emphasized in the theory. According to the damp theory, Pro.He Ying treats prostatic calculus successfully with the the Modified Feng Ling Tang, and it's clinical curative effect and security was observed. The thesis comprises two portions.Theroy DiscussionTheoretical studies first the origins of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western academic research review and synthesis of the current situation, in the traditional Chinese medicine theory, the research component of this emphasis on the traditional Chinese medicine nonaggressive disease pathogenesis and treatment measures is carried out retrospectively; Western theoretical overview of some key causes of pathology of prostate stones,sub-type, diagnosis differential diagnosis and treatment of western medicine.Clical studyObjective To observe the clinical studies, "Modified Feng Ling Tang" for prostate calculi in patients with pelvic pain efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine treatment to further explore the possible mechanism to achieve efficacy. Methods The number of cases 60 cases, according to treatment group and control group were taking the 2:1 ratio of the Modified Feng Ling Tang and Long Qing Pian,4 weeks for a course of treatment, statistics before and after treatment in patients with NIH-CPSI (National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis symptom score index) to change the situation. Results in 42 cases, of which 6 cases markedly effective in 26 cases, ineffective in 10 cases, efficiency is 76.19%(32/42);control group,18 cases, of which 3 cases markedly effective in 11 cases,4 cases, efficiency 77.78%(14/18), the total effective rate 76.67%(42/60). Between the treatment group and control group, markedly effective and efficient treatment no significant difference (P> 0.05). Reduce pain in patients with symptoms and NIH-CPSI total score, treatment group and control group before treatment were significant differences (P<0.01).During treatment in patients with no serious adverse reactions.Conclusion "Modified Feng Ling Tang "and Long Qing Pian the Department could significantly ease the pelvic pain, to some extent improved the urinary symptoms and improve quality of life; and no serious adverse drug reactions. There are no significant difference in efficacy between the two.
