Objective:This experiment selected Spring Commence,Spring Equinox,Summer Commence,Summer Solstice, Autumn Commence,Autumn Equinox,Winter Commence and Winter Solstice the 8 representative solar terms out of the 24 solar terms as timings,guided by the theory of "man,as a microcosm,is connected with the macrocosm" in TCM.We discuss the influence of seasonal variation on the pathogenesis of respiratory infection by analyzing the levels of immune indicators in saliva and serum——Secretory Immunoglobulin A, Interleukin 1, 2, 6, 10, Interferonγ, Lysozyme) which are related with respiratory infection in healthy person.The purpose of our experiment is to provide theorical basis for prevention, diagnosis and treatment , simultaneously,to provide medical scientific basis for the theory of "man,as a microcosm,is connected with the macrocosm" in TCM.Methods: Take 20 healthy volunteers from the TCM College of Hebei Medical University as objects,which were selected at random . Take the saliva and venous blood of the objects after 10 minutes rest at 4 to 5 o'clock in the afternoon of each solar terms.Both Interleukin( IL-1β, IL-2 and IL-6) in the serum and the secretory immununo globulinA(sIgA) in the saliva are detected by the method of Radioimmunoassay.Lysozyme in saliva was detected by the method of turbidimetry.Interferon-γand IL-10 in the serum were detected by Enzyme-Linked immunosorbant assay.At last observe and analyse the variation of the indicators.Results:①The level of IL-1βin serum reached the peak in Summer Solstice. The ranks of the level of other solar terms in descending order are:Summer Commence,Spring Equinox,Spring Commence, Winter Solstice, Autumn Equinox,Autumn Commence,Winter Commence.There is significant difference among Summer Solstice,Autumn Commence and Winter Commence in the level of IL-1β(P<0.05).②The level of IL-2 in serum reached the peak in summer solstice. The ranks of the level of other solar terms in descending order are:Spring Equinox, Autumn Commence,Summer Commence,Autumn Equinox,Winter Commence,Spring Commence,Winter Solstice.There is no significant difference between Summer solstice and Spring Equinox in the level of IL-2,while there is significant difference among Summer solstice and any other solar terms(P<0.05).③The level of IL-6 in serum reached the peak in Spring Commence. The ranks of the level of other solar terms in descending order are:Winter Commence,Spring Equinox,Summer Solstice,Autumn Equinox, Summer Commence,Spring Commence.There is significant difference among Autumn Commence, Spring Commence,Summer Commence and Autumn Equinox in the level of IL-6(P<0.05);There is significant difference among Spring Equinox,Summer Commence and Autumn Equinox(P<0.05).④The level of IL-10 in serum reached the peak in Winter Solstice. The ranks of the level of other solar terms in descending order are:Winter Commence,Spring Commence,Spring Equinox, Autumn Equinox,Summer Commence,Summer Solstice,Autumn Commence.There is significant difference among Summer Solstice Autumn Commence and Winter Solstice in the level of IL-10(P<0.05).⑤The level of IFN-γin serum reached the peak in Summer Solstice. The ranks of the level of other solar terms in descending order are:Autumn Commence,Spring Equinox,Summer Commence,Spring Commence,Autumn Equinox,Winter Commence,Winter Solstice.There is significant difference among Summer Solstice, Autumn Equinox,Winter Commence and Winter Solstice in the level of IFN-γ(P<0.05).⑥The level of sIgA in serum reached the peak in Autumn Commence. The ranks of the level of other solar terms in descending order are:Summer Commence,Summer Equinox,Spring Commence,Winter Commence,Spring Equinox, Autumn Equinox,Winter Solstice .There is no significant difference among Summer Commence,Summer Solstice and Spring Commence in the level of sIgA,while there is significant difference between these three and any other solar terms(P<0.05).⑦The level of lysozyme in saliva reached the peak in Summer Solstice. The ranks of the level of other solar terms in descending order are:Spring Equinox,Summer Commence,Autumn Commence,Winter Commence,Winter Solstice, Spring Commence.There is significant difference among Spring Equinox,Spring Commence and Winter Solsticein the level of lysozyme(P<0.05);and there is significant difference among Summer Solstice,Spring Commence and Winter Solstice in the level of lysozyme(P<0.05).Conclusions: The results show that the basic trend of the indicators related with the respiratory infection is higher in spring and summer ,lower in autumn and winter,which explained the obvious relationship between seasonal factor and respiratory system,which confirmed the validity of the theory of "man,as a microcosm,is connected with the macrocosm".This is in line with the morbidity of respiratory diseases, which is higher in autumn and winter,lower in spring and summer.This research provided experimental evidence for the study of the pathogenesis of respiratory infection.In the meanwhile, it is instructive and meaningful to the prevention,diagnosis and treatment of respiratory infective diseases.
