Evaluating Effects Of Guan Xin Qi Wei Tablets On Early Atheroscleros In Rabbits By Echo Tracking Technique

Objective To Evaluate the changes in blood vessel elasticity after Guan xin Qi wei tablets'intervention in rabbits on early atherosclerosis by echo tracking Technology. Meth-ods 60 male New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into experimental group and the control group. Experimental group then were randomly divided into high-fat group, low-dose group of Mongolian medicine, high-dose group of Mongolian medicine and simvastatin group at the end of 8th week. At the end of 12th,16thweek, each group respectively was measured in rabbit abdominal aorta flexible scale,includingelasticity(Eρ),stiffness index(β), compliance(AC), expansion coefficient (AI)and pulse wave velocity(PWVβ) by echo track-ing technology(ET)and then 8-12 only were killed, Removing the abdominal aorta and ob-serving its pathologic change, at the same time by immunohistochemical Act observing vas-cular endothelial growth factor expression. Results Comapre with high fat control group, the total cholesterol,triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein in low-dose group,high-dose group of Mongolian medicine and simvastatin group were decreased at the end of 12th,16th week(P<0.05),Eρ,β,PWVβwere also decreased (P<0.05). The expression intensi-ty in high fat group were higher than low dose group,high dose group of Mongolian medicine and simvastatin group, and the gray value were also decreased. A positive correlation is be-tweenβ-values and gray value of VEGF expression after medicine intervention at the end of 12th,16th week. Conclusions ET Technology is regarded as the measure of efficacy evalu-ation and degree of injury in endothelium in early anti-AS,provide the basis for drug screen-ing of endothelium protection. Guan xin Qi wei tablets can weaken VEGF expression to slow atherosclerosis progress.
