Qi is a kind of very important substance which constitutes the human body and maintains its life activity. Qi constantly circulates inside the body in order to maintain the body's normal physiological function. Qi dynamic and qi transformation are specific manifestations of a variety of activities of the body's physiological functions, like visceral, tissue, qi, blood as well as Microscopic material, whose functions are all based on qi movement and qi transformation. When various pathogenic factors acting on the human body, it can lead to a variety of systemic or regional diseases by affecting the body's qi dynamic and qi transformation."Compared with qi, blood has different name but be homogeneous substance." Flowing of blood driven mainly by qi. "Qi flow lead to blood flow, and obstruction of qi flow lead to disturbance of blood flow." Qi stagnation is an important factor in the formation of blood stasis, the latter as a result of the former. Qi stagnancy and blood stasis affecting each other, two of them are inseparable in this pathological process. The liver physiological characteristic is based on blood and qi, pertains to yin and dominates yang. Since the liver is in charge of free flow of qi and stores blood, it plays a key role in the freedom of qi dynamic and concerning the flow of qi-blood of the whole body so that to maintain the body's normal life activity. Therefore, dysfunction of the liver will inevitably lead to various organs dysfunctional diseases in the human body.Functional disorder of the organs always cause stagnancy of qi, which will lead to deconditioning of the liver qi. Qi stagnation is an important pathogenic factor in leading to blood stasis. If qi transformation is out of order, it will leader to various pathological changes by affecting blood flow. The reason is that dysfunction of the liver will lead to qi stagnancy with blood stasis.Syndrome of Qi-stagnancy with blood stasis does not mean Syndrome of Qi stagnancy plus Syndrome of blood stasis. Relationship between them is not only cause-and-effect, but also weights of the different. In Chinese medicine, it regards Blood flow depends on the promotion of qi. Qi flow lead to blood flow, and obstruction of qi flow lead to disturbance of blood flow. They apply proteomics to syndromes studying in modern research, which is not only conducive to dynamically reveal the variability of the same object in different periods, but also consistent to the characteristics of the syndrome. At present, studies on the relevance of syndromes-symptoms are mostly belong to qualitative study, relevance of quantitative studies are only based on linear statistical research. Therefore, to improve the research methodology continually is very necessary and profound.Through the combined methods of reduction of the literatures and analytical thinking, we carry out an in-depth research on syndrome of qi stagnation with blood stasis about its theory development, mechanism, clinical application and research tools.
