The Clinical Observation Of Lowering Recurrence Rate Of Vulvovaginal Candidiasis Patient With Spleen Deficiency And Wet Heat Treated With Modified Yi Huang Tang

Objective:To clinically observe the reduction of recurrence rate of vulvovaginal candidiasis patients with the spleen deficiency and wet heat treated with Modified Yi Huang Tang.Data and Methods:Patients with acute WC who experienced episode of 2 times in the past year from Second People's Hospital in Fujian Province were chosen. They were treated with Canesten for a week.90 patients with spleen deficiency and wet heat reviewed were randomly divided into 2 groups; control group with 45 cases:not to take any treatment; observation group with cases: patients were treated with Yi Huang Tang one preparation everyday for 7 days; Both groups did not oral the drug until the 7th day before menstruation next month with a course of treatment. They were reviewed after drug administration. After the total course of treatment, before and after treatment of symptoms and signs were recorded; 3 months after drug withdrawal two groups of symptoms, signs and situation of recurrence were reviewed.Results:â‘ Via Comparing symptoms and signs points of two groups before and after treatment, P values were equal to 0.00<0.01,which means scores in post-treatment group were significantly decreased compared with pre-treatment group. It shows clinical symptoms and signs can be relieved after drug treatment.â‘¡Via Comparing symptoms and signs points of two groups before and after treatment, P values were equal to 0.00<0.01,it had statistically significance, which indicated Chinese formula Modified Yi Huang Tang had a better effects in relieving after symptoms and signs after adjuvant treatment than western medicine Canesten.â‘¢Relapse rate of two groups comparison:relapse rate of observation group which stop drug administration for 3 months was 11.1%,relapse rate of control group was 40%, P=0.002<0.01 There was statistically significance.The recurrence of observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, indicating Modified Decoction can efficiently reduce the recurrence rate of vulvovaginal candidiasis patients with the spleen deficiency and wet heat.Conclusion:Modified Decoction can efficiently reduce the recurrence rate of vulvovaginal candidiasis patients with the spleen deficiency and wet heat, and can improve the clinical symptoms and patients'quality of lives.
