In order to investigate the influence of prosodic information in disambiguating parallel ambiguous sentences , using the parallel ambiguous sentences as experimental material, with college students as subjects , first we did the semantic matching experiment, the prosodic information had three forms, attributive context pronunciation, joint context and without context pronunciation, and later eye tracking method was used, the ambiguous sentences were divided into two types with biased and unbiased ambiguity. The results showed that:(1) Prosodic information can disambiguate parallel ambiguous sentences, the meaning were accessed in order of their relative frequency. When the prosodic information and the major word sense ambiguity is inconsistent, the process of the disambiguating parallel ambiguous sentences was delayed.(2) Modifier with the noun in matching bias influenced the disambiguating parallel ambiguous sentences to a certain extent. In the early stages of syntactic processing, non-syntactic information is incorporated into the syntax Characterization. When prosodic information is consistent with the matching bias, to promote to disambiguate parallel ambiguous sentences; when the prosodic information is inconsistent with the match, it will delay disambiguating parallel ambiguous sentences.(3) All of the results suggest support referential model. Caused by the collocation of non-syntactic information, in the syntactic processing, and syntactic information generated interaction.
