On Gui Youguang's Literature

Gui Youguang is regarded as famous essayist in literature history from Ming & Qing dynasties to nowadays. In tune of Return to the acients or Simulate the ancients' way, Gui Youguang sent his different voice and then be honored ever afterwards. However, people were only interested in his essays and put it as the main research object up to now, the other literature article styles were ignored. The conclusion from people's research was conflict with Gui Youguang's own thought. This paper made an in-depth investigation on the previous work, researched Gui Youguang's poems and articles carefully and analyzed their impact to the literary world of Ming Dynasty based on the society background and trend of Gui Youguang's thought.There are five chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the reason for choosing this topics and the point of thesis. Chapter 2 analyzed Gui Youguang's thought trend. If we research from the angle of aesthetic view and find the source of the thought ideal from the production of Gui Youguang, we can get the thinking process and show sympathy better with the heart touch of the poem and the other productions, thus we can understand Gui Youguang more comprehensively.Chapter 3 researched Gui Youguang's poems. Previous poets had not given high comment to Gui Youguang's poems and his poems had not been the research object ever before. However, as for Sikuquanshuzongmu Summary, Wang Wan, who was the famous poet in Qing dynasty and the poems he attached importance to were definite valued in literature, had once make the annotations for his poems. Consequently this paper regard Gui Youguang's poems as the research object and do the research work from the characteristics of thought, art and poetics.Chapter 4 details the phenomenon of Gui Youguang's poses which was talked little by previous people. We look for the reason why his poses were so affecting and loved by people from the aspects of the poses' characteristics and aesthetic angle. We try to analyze the Yichangsantan aesthetical tragedy pattern to get reach to the impressive point of Gui Youguang's productions, catch on Gui Youguang's literature aesthetic orientation and do the interpretation work from the psychology analysis.Chapter 5 examined the research materials using the literature, historical and statistical way, studied Gui Youguang and the other well-known poets in Ming & Qing dynasty and their influence to afterworld. In the first part, textual research was done on the relationship between Gui Youguang and Wang Shizhen from the aspects of the disposition and academic relationship of them. The conclusion was drew: the difference of the ideas between them was only limited in the area of literature, moreover, they gradually sought common ground while reserving differences; and people's depreciation on Wang Shizhen was result from the mistake made by Qian Qianyi. In the second part, we checked the process of Qian Qianyi learning and canonizing Gui Youguang from the friendship between Qian Qianyi and Gui Youguang's family to show how Gui Youguang impacted Qian Qianyi's poems.
