Studies About The System Of The Characters On Bronze Objects In Western Zhou Dynasty

The traditional study of ancient characters mainly focused on the descriptions, coordinations and interpretations. These years,the scholars paid more and more attention to the noumenon of the characters, including the research about the whole system of the inscriptions on ancient bronze objects in western Zhou dynasty. But because of the limitation on material, these research didn't go deep into the components of the characters, a lot of research should be done. This made it possible and necessary to analyze the characters system of the inscriptions on ancient bronze objects in western Zhou dynasty again.There are six chapters in this dissertation. First chapter is the research on the number and frequency of each characters. The purpose is to supplement the material and to ge to know about the distribution of the number and frequency of the characters.The second chapter is the research on the different appearance of the same characters. The main purpose is to break through the limitation of the traditional frequency statistics, learn from the components of the characters.The third chapter is the research on the structure of the inscriptions on ancient bronze objects in western Zhou dynasty. The purpose is to get to know about the characteristic of the process of how to form the characters.The fourth chapter is the research in the history.
