Nevertheless, there has not formed Chinese own design style all along, which makes it more difficult to find something of national nature. Especially in the process of globalization, Chinese design has been placed in western cultural pattern. All of design methods, education, thoughts and discourse are deeply affected by globalization, which urges people to advocate the excavation of Chinese elements and the admiration of ethnic culture.In the digital information ages, it has become the time consumption demand and cultural trend to inherit and develop ethnic culture and to advocate the application of the native language in modern design. How to keep national characteristics in the globalization trend is a worldwide problem and only on the world stage can we give more meaning to nationality. It is the best way to improve national identity by integration of Chinese traditional and modern design and only in the way of absorbing foreign culture to create distinct design based on national characteristics can we put ourselves in an invincible position. It is not only the important responsibility of contemporary designers but also the source and innovative point of the development of Chinese modern design to gradually merge the essence of traditional art into the modern design idea. Hence, designers should undertake heavy responsibilities to create new-age elements characterized by traditional cultural features and combine it with modern design.
