On The Influence Of Popmusic To The Aesthetic Appreciation Of College Students

I often see such pictures both inside and outside the college, many students enjoy listening to the pop song by using earphones, they are lost in it even sing with it. I'm moved deeply by this, and want to share the happiness with them. Further more, I eager to discuss a topic which is related to the pop song .Pop music especially the pop song has become a part of our daily life as a kind of cultural phenomenon whose function is to entertain people. The development of the pop song has a close relationship with the development of the society. The pop song is close to the background of our life, so it is not only a kind of art style, but also entertainment, reflection of people's daily life, even the standard of people's idea.The college students who major in music have quick and active thinking, they can accept and feel new things better than others. With their special musical accomplishment, basic skills and appreciation, they can fully understand the pop song. We should guide them correctly and improve their aesthetic appreciation while enjoying the pop song.We should let the students know that listening to the pop song is not admiring the pop stars and following the song blindly, but absorbing the positive aspect of it and improving their aesthetic appreciation at the same time. Music especially the pop song can be a bridge of moulding one's sentiment and improving one's aesthetic appreciation.This thesis begins with the origin and characteristics of pop music, analyses the reason that the pop music is easily accepted by the college students and discusses its influence to the college students'foundation of aesthetic appreciation mentally and physically. The time element and positive element in the pop song can give a good influence to the students.This thesis still gives several suggestions about the attitude to the pop song by the college students by using a lot of pop songs as the examples .With the cultural function of the pop song, the students'literal accomplishment can be improved, view can be broadened, they can absorb and criticize the pop music properly in the cultural atmosphere.This thesis also introduces the use of the pop music in daily teaching of sightsinging and listening practice.
