With the advent of the knowledge-based economy and the promotion of the quality-oriented education,music education in colleges and universities is gradually attached widespread concern in society and people's attention.Appreciation of music, a significant curriculum of music education,is the foremost form and one of the most effective methods of aesthetic pedagogy in colleges and universities.Meanwhile, teaching material is an important implement to achieve the goal of education and the key to improve the educational quality.Materials research,therefore,is the core to enhance the quality of textbook and education.In other words,the textbooks of musical appreciation embody the contents and methods of higher-education music-appreciation teaching.As mentioned above,it is the critical guarantee to do well in the construction of music-appreciation textbooks in terms of uplifting the quality of music education,stabilizing the order of music teaching and realizing the objective of training personnel with all-round development.Compiling available textbooks is the all-important problem in the material construction;however,there are few studies on the status of music-appreciation textbook compilation for non-music majors,the feedbacks of the teachers and students using them,and so on.The systemic and elaborate related research does note manifest itself so far.Consequently the analysis and investigation of these published textbooks is particularly important to provide a practical reference to compiling or amending the future textbooks by means of continuous research,discussion and exploration,even gradual innovation and enhance.The thesis is devoted on the analysis of existent problems which are based on nearly all published textbooks of music-appreciation course,and some constructive measures are proposed to select and edit the next generation textbook.The thesis is organized as three parts:in partⅠafter a systematic description of the motivation, value and significance of my research,the object,scope,method and other current similar works are stated.In partⅡⅠinvestigate the course setting of musical appreciation and the result of using textbooks after the analysis of the content and publication of textbooks.Countermeasures and constructive suggestions are discussed and presented.Finally,concluding remarks at the end of this issue are accompanying with some reflections and prospects.
