From the development of the Tang Five Dynasties to the Song Dynasties, ci took on a bright period. Then because of the changes of the age and the society the ci's style showed a spiritless tendency between Yuan and Ming.By the Qing Dynasty, the ci's style had begun to develop vigorously, especially the resurgence during the Early Qing Dynasty. "Tan Zhe Ci"written by Gu Zhenguan enjoyed high prestige all over the world. He, together with Chen Weisong, Zhu Yizun achieved the summits of three different ci's styles. Zhen-guan's ci was both rigid and gentle. His ci's style was full of tenderness and gallantry. The main substance of the thesis has mainly analyzed the inheritance of Zhenguan's ci in the light of the comparison between his conception, disposition, realm and those old generations with virtues and talents such as Su, Qing, Zhou and Xin. It has dealt with the innovations in the contents and forms from the Late Tang Dynasty to the early Qing Dynasty. Now I'd like to research on Gu Zhenguan's ci from following sides:The first chapter has analyzed author's influence on his thought by his old generations and changeable situations. It had been reflected in his ci.The second chapter has analyzed his opinions, which were his writing's best verification. The third chapter has analyzed its inheritance shown in the style and content compared with the ci's style of Su, Qing, Zhou and Xin, as well as its innovation. The fourth chapter has analyzed its innovation of disposition, realm and language art in its forms, such as ci had been used instead of book words and picture drawings. The fifth has analyzed his position and influence from the ci's preface, the ci's order comment and the poem theory written by the later authors of the Qing Dynasty. It had dealt with his inheritance and development to the later generations.
