| The singing method of Huangmei Opera is an indispensible part of our traditional vocal arts. It plays an important role in displaying its special characteristics and maintaining its outstanding status. From the perspective of vocality, this paper, based on the comparison and induction, aims to thoroughly analyze its singing method so as to systematically elaborate its internal scientificities and specialities and reveal its basic aesthetic essence and artistic prescriptions. Firstly, this paper traces backs to the origin, development and evolvement of Huangmei Opera and its singing method, giving a general description of its artistic and musical features. Secondly, by means of longitudinal and horizontal comparison, this paper intends to demonstrate that the singing method of Huangmei Opera, on one hand, has its own course of development and artistic features; on the other hand, it accords with the general rules of vocal arts, further, it clarifies its internal scientific characteristics, such as, the adjustment of respiration, the application of resonance, and its pronunciation etc. Moreover, in terms of its aesthetic features and artistic characteristics, this paper focuses on its specialties, supported with the choices of timbres, the skills of oral cavities and the employment of dialects. Eventually, the paper tries to fully retrospect and meditate the singing method of Huangmei Opera from the historical perspectives so as to promote its inheritance, development and creation. In order to find its way to adapt itself to the social change and lead to its further advancement, the innovation and development of Huangmei Opera as well as its singing method has to preserve its strong local characteristics and outstanding artistic features. At the same time, it has to change its old-fashioned models which have failed to fit itself for the requirement of the new eras. |
