The Use Of CVM In The Valuation Of The Cultural Heritage

With the development of the society,the cultural heritage has got more and more attention.On the one hand,the govenrment invests more and more money to protect the cultural heritage and scholars also call for the cultural heritage protection.On the other hand,many cultural heritages are disappearing or destroyed.In one world,the cultural heritage problem is the contradiction between protection and development.Therefore,we should not only protect the cultural heritage, but also use them to development.And it is necessary to have a right cognition on the value of the heritage cultural.So value appraisal is one of the important issues of cultural heritage protection.This paper constructs the cultural heritage value classification system from the Angle of economics.On the base of that,the paper puts forward the valuation method----CVM. The paper discussed the particularity in the use of the CVM to value cultural heritage especially in China based on a literature review and case studies.And this paper puts forward some suggestions in the use of the CVM to value cultural heritage especially in China.At last,the paper put CVM to the use of the valuation of the FuXin national mine park.This paper is divided into 5 chapters:In the first chapter, the main content is to introduce the research background, significance and methodology.Chapter Two and Chapter Three are the most important parts of this paper.The Chapter Two mainly analyse the Value of the heritage cultural,and constructs the cultural heritage value classification system in favor of quantitative evaluation from the Angle of economics.This is the foundation of the paper.The Chapter Three discussed the limitation and the particularity in the use of the CVM to value cultural heritage especially in China. On the basis of this, the paper put forward several suggestions in regard to improvements of the CVM. It was drawn thatâ‘ selecting WTP for the index is more reasonable.â‘¡dichotomous choice (DC) can simulate market pricing to behavior better.â‘¢the payment vehicle option should account for local people's habits and preferences. andâ‘£the target audience option should not only take into account the grade of cultural heritage resources, but also the ability to pay and education levels of selected groups.The Chapter Four is the use of CVM in the case of FuXin national mine park. According to the principles and suggestions mentioned in the last text,devise the CV study take the FuXin national mine park as an example.And it obtained that:the mean WTP of the non-use value is 44.1 yuan,and the toatal non-use value is 0.749 billion yuan taking the urban residents of LiaoNing as the Gross sample;the mean WTP of the use value is 19.2 yuan, and the toatal use value is 0.303 billion yuan taking the urban residents of LiaoNing as the Gross sample.The fifth section is the conclusions and suggestions of this paper, which concludes the content of the whole paper and analyzes the limitations and future research of this topic.The main limitations of the paper are:â‘ the processing of calculation model is simple and not compare and analyze related models;â‘¡Due to. the limited time and energy, the paper didn't compare different value evaluation methods.
