This paper takes the fashionable magazine illustration as main object of study. Through the researching of the relationship of fashionable magazine illustration and popular consumption mentality, to find the way for the design of fashionable magazine illustration to keep with the spirit of the age and show the attention and manifests for the people and try the best to make the progress and development for the socialism expense culture.At present, human society enters a science and technology prosperous age. The material civilization also has unprecedented development. The high speed development of modern science and technology brings giant material wealth to the humanity. At the same time, each kind of expense cultural conflict appears. People's consumption level enhances day by day, people set a higher request to the commodity itself during they buy something. Fashionable magazine is becoming the new power to guide People's life style and the idea transformation and infuse the new vigor for modern people's life. Today, the emergent thing is that large number of people could not bear such a fresh visual sense and the performance of the illustrations is more focused on the so-called expressed individuality and instantaneous experience, which gradually neglects the work itself that it should be the most important spiritual connotation of the expression. Noting have long-term vitality without soul, the illustrations are the same. As one of the most noticeable culture and commercial information carriers, the expression of fashionable magazine illustration has an important cultural function of modern dissemination that is what constructs the society's humanities spirit construction and reflects nowadays society emotion image.
