An Analysis Of The Paradox-Style On Views Of Love And Marriage In Qiongyao's Novels

Qiong Yao is a well-known romance novelist. Her workers have a unique style.From the beginning, her novels turned out to set off a wave of reading and comments. The explanations of love and marriage have individual features in her complete works. In her works, she tells the romantic and perfect love stories; firmly believes that love can give people infinite power and the meaning of life is to love and be loved. Despite of these superficial, romantic and beautiful statements, her texts about love are also full of unspeakable tangle, that is, the explanation of love and marriage is uncertain. The explanation of love and marriage have conflicting or even contradictory interference at the same time or different times in her works, which is rarely involved in Qiong Yao's research.The contradictory interference manifests in many aspects, such as when the romantic love changes into dull marriage, family will be broken and couples will break off, which can be called the opposite of love and marriage;autonomy marriage and patriarchal intervention are unable to have love finally perfectly, which is the opposite of two marital ways; two opposite attitudes about extra-marital affairs both condemned and sympathetic; a variety of explanations about the "eternal love " make the works appear two kinds of opposition, that is, the opposition in each kind of love without limits and the opposition between limits and without limits in love. The diverse content of love decides the love story complex appearance and also provides a possibility for the researchers to explain these texts from various angles. The paper will discuss Qiong Yao's novels regarding the paradox of love and marriage as a starting pointThe paper is composed by the introduction, the main text and the conclusion.Introduction: divided into two parts. First, I will explain the works from themes, writing features and academic orientation on the whole, pointing out the value of the works in a wide range and giving the text a comprehensive evaluation; then, summarizing the present research status of Qiong Yao, pointing out the focus research and deficiencies, drawing out the idea of my paper, that is, researching the paradox-style on views of Love and Marriage in Qiong Yao's novels.The first part: paradox-style of text presentation. Summarizing five paradox appeared in the complete works, that is, romantic love and dull marriage, the marital way of Parental intervention and the free love, the attitudes to extra-marital affairs both sympathy and condemnation, denying the marriage of love and without love and discussing eternal love. Besides, the paper gives a detailed analysis with specific texts.The second part: Paradox-style reason exploration. This part mainly discusses the subjective and objective reasons from the two aspects. The former from the writer's dual personality, life experiences, growth and value diversity and the latter from the times change, social transformation and induction of the Western tide. The purpose is trying to present comprehensive reasons of the Paradox-style in this part.The third part: Paradox-style value analysis. This paper confirms the significance of the Paradox-style, which is mainly in creation popular literature classical texts, breaking through creation difficulty and guidance society enlightenment. Besides, I will also point out its potential negative effects and make readers treat them correctly.Conclusion: Based on the first three chapters, I will point out that the paradox–style appears inevitably and it is unity on the whole in all of Qiong Yao's novels.
