The Study To Guangshan Flower Drum Opera

Henan, with all kinds of chinese local operas spreading among the folk, is the chief origins of drama. One of these rare varieties of great value in research is The Flower Dram Song in the south of Henan. Also called Guangshan Flower Dram Opera, The Flower Dram Oprea in the south of Henan got its name owing to the fact that it was developed in Guangshan County, Xinyang. In 2004 it was ranked as Folk Cultural Heritage Rescue Project of Henan Province. In addition, it was also listed among the representatives of the provincial immaterial heritages. Based on the traditional repetoires of the Guangshan Flower Drama Opera as the research objest, this paper demonstrates the origin and evolution of the opera, gathers the traditional repertoire text in Guangshan, explores the ideological consciousness and aesthetic connotation, summarises its traditional opera performance system in order to change traditional repertoire current drama and provide some ideas and methods of conversion.This paper is divided into introduction,body and conclusion.. The first part Outlines the topic of the research status,material sources and research Angle, ideas and methods.There are four items mentioned in its body.The first chapter: The presentation about its origin. Based on a large number of documents, this paper expounds the opera's origin and its formation; Meanwhile, on the basis of wide investigation and comprehensive survey, a rough skeleton about its whole evolution comes up at last.The second chapter: Script forms and sources. Through collection and scientific classification of the script, the play is divided into performance script, sorting script and publication script. At the same time, a thorough differentiation of various sources of the detailed script and in-depth research and adaptation conversion are held to give us a comprehensive understanding of this opera's traditional text form.The third chapter: Traditional repertoire. According to the subject category, the Guangshan Flower Drama Opera is divided into family ethical plays, social historical plays, and religious supernatural plays. Moreover, some representative plays are chosen to be analyzed. Thus the social background and cultural characteristics intermingled in the opera are fully revealed.The fourth Chapter: Traditional performance form Through the exploration to its performance system and music features ,we can see clearly its performance effects, specialty setting, stage sets, class club and so on. On the basis of the statements above, the last part not only refers to the drama's folk features and and connotation,but puts forward its value in Chinese art form as a rare folk opera.interpretation as a rare folk drama form have quyi value.
