The Study Of The Effects Of Suicidal Ideation In Depressed Patients

Purpose: According to"stress– susceptibility"mode, and based on the investigation of Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation (SSI) and Barrett's Compulsiveness Scale-11 (BIS - 11) used in evaluating the reliability and validity of the depression patients'suicidal ideation and compulsiveness, then using structural equation model analysis the related factors affecting depression patients, to provide theoretical basis for the prevention of suicidal behavior.Method: Using confirmatory factor analysis method analysis the structural validity and construct reliability of SSI and BIS-11, through SPSS16.0 analysis Cronbach'sαinternal consistency, split-half reliability and standard validity; Using structure equation model, correlation analysis and regression analysis the related factors of depression patients'suicidal ideation.Results:(1) Applicability test indicates that SSI scale and BIS-11 scale can be applied in depressed patients suicidal ideation and compulsive appraisal. Both SSI and BIS-11 have high reliability of the Cronbachαcoefficient and the split-half reliability coefficient, also have better effect standard validity and structural validity.(2) The influence factors of suicidal ideation indicates that depression, anxiety, desperate feeling, compulsiveness, self-esteem have significant correlation with the suicidal ideation and suicidal risk degree (P < 0.01), through structure equation model shows that depression, anxiety, desperate feeling, compulsiveness, self-esteem are predicted directly effect for suicidal ideation strength, desperate feeling has a significant prediction function for suicidal risk degree.(3) Negative coping and positive coping have significantly associated with suicidal ideation and suicidal risk degree (P < 0.01). Negative coping style influences the factors of depression, anxiety except the desperate feeling.(4) Suicide attitude affects suicidal risk through affecting the suicidal ideation (function size for 0.308 and 0.41). Also the compulsiveness can affect suicidal ideation through suicide attitude.Conclusion: (1) SSI and BIS-11 have good reliability and validity used in evaluating the suicidal ideation and compulsiveness in depression patients. (2) The stress factors(depression, anxiety, desperate feeling) and the susceptibility factors(compulsiveness, self-esteem)are the factors affecting the suicidal ideation among depression patients, the structural equation model with certain scientific and feasible is applied to analysis the influencing factors of depression patientss'suicidal ideation. (3) Coping styles as intermediary variable influence depression patients'suicidal ideation. (4) Suicide attitude affects suicidal behavior through suicidal ideation, and also the compulsiveness has significant correlation with the suicide attitude.
