Research Of The Healthy Personality Of Poor College Students

With the start of the comprehensive expansion of university from 1999, the number of students has been increasing, so the overall number of poor student showed an upward movement. The statistics of 2004-2005 school year from the Ministry of Education shows that the total number of the student in publicly university is 135 million, of which about 26.3 million students from poor family. Poor college students have become common special groups.The economic poverty of poor college students has raised the concern in the state and society. The governments at different levels and universities develop a series of policy in order to make sure poor students can complete their studies. Most universities have developed the funding system including the basic form of scholarships, grants, work-study, allowance of special difficulty and tuition waiver. While economic assistance can only help poor students to solve the economic problem but not psychological problems. Economic pressures caused a series of negative changes of personality and mental health. Therefore, it is important for sustainable development of society and healthy and sound growth of college student. And it can be the call of new century, to strengthen education of poor college students, get forward to the growth of poor college students'personality, fashion the healthy personality of poor college students.The paper starts with conception definition of poor college students and their healthy personality. We summarized bad personality features of poor college students, took the reasons apart, and put forward the principles and methods of training the personality of poor college students, by investigating and analyzing the current situation of poor college students. There are four parts organized in this paper:the first part proposes the problem background, current situation and methods of poor college student personality. The second part illustrates the relevant concepts and theories of poor college students and their personality. The third part generalizes the bad personalities existed and reasons in poor students, by making surveys on poor college students. The last part proposes the main methods of principles on fashioning poor college student personality and training their healthy personality, combined with the reasons of bad personality.
