The Balance Between The Fantasy And The Reality Of The Fantasy

The feature of fantasy has been destined that people would meet something far away from reality when they read it; and this kind of unrealistic thing which beyond our sensibility causes mental sense of distance, and thus will make the fantasy world becomes "unbelievable". To clear up the present method and the source of the fantasy element in some works I find that the fantasy elements which consist in the fantasy style actively, to push the development of the scenario, to give reader amazing and occult feeling. It includes fantasy images, magic, magic stuff, time space etc. The essential feature is real as well as visional. So, it is the writers who would depict the fantasy world as they have personally seen and experienced by their imagination and superb writing skills, let readers get a sense of balance between real world and fantasy world and stop the unbelievable feeling, and finally achieve the significance of fantasy. Generally speaking, I personally call it "balance mode of fantasy", which refers to the mode that the writer could be able to have readers considered the fabricated world as real. In my dissertation, I will take the some classic and popular articles with high reputation as examples, analyzing writers'views on fantasy, writing motivation, writing skills and reading effects. Besides, I will take sense of distance and balance as two important angles and rely on features and effects of fantasy as well in order to concern how does writers generate sense of balance and what make readers get the psychological sense of believing. Readers would accept and believe the fantasy world and find out the meaning of fantasy after having the sense of distance and balance as long as they achieve the sense of reality. Only on that time we can get the real presents from the fantasy, such as "Recovery", "Escape" and "Consolation" etc. Fantasy shows us a world which is deferent from the reality and same to the reality at the same time. Fantasy gives us a new eye to observe the reality and ourselves, it doesn't only belong to children but also belong to everyone in the world, and it make the readers believe their dreams.
