The Artistic Charm Of Children's Picture Books From The Adult's Perspective

As a branch of illustration arts, picture books for children are exuding a unique artistic charm. They help children improve their reading interests and light their dreams. Also, they infect the adult world and retain a pure childlike innocence forever.This paper conduct research on the artistic features and elements of creation of illustration arts, based on the research of the illustration and articles, involved many elements of design about the illustration for children, such as role modeling, application of color, storyboard, materials application and so on.This paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter is preface. This part explains the source, object and significance of the project research. It hereby elaborates the necessity and innovativeness about this research from conception analysis and its classification.The second chapter is mainly about the picture books for children. This part expounds the major background and the meaning of it when children were growing up.The third chapter specifically discusses many unique creative elements of children's picture books, such as color assortment, character design and subject area.The fourth chapter tries to find out the problems in development process of the illustration for children, based on the analysis of existing situations of domestic and foreign about it, and advance forward looking thoughts.The fifth chapter summarizes the paper by expounding the significance of picture books for children.
