Learning burnout is a sort of psychological frazzle with which students feel exhausted in both body and mind when they lose interests or lack ambition in their learning and they have no choice but do it . Learning burnout tends to cause a succession of negative behaviors of abandoning leaning . In recent years learning burnout has begun to exist ubiquitously among academy school students . Academy school students, as a special group out of college students , shoulder the mass tasks of constructing and developing the future society on the front line of the production , management and services. Once academy school graduates with learning burnout start work , negative influence will appear . From this , we can see the study on the academy school students'learning burnout and its influential factors are of great significance. Many research have proved that the learning burnout is related to the social environment , the academic stress and individuals'specific factors . The level of social support is a social environment factor which can't be ignored in the research on the influence of learning burnout among academy school students . Social support is both a moral support and a material support reaped from one's own social relationship . It involves three dimensions which are the subjective support , impersonal support and the utilization of support . While high level of social support helps with the relief of the learning burnout and the deduction of the unhealthy learning behavior , lower level of social support tend to cause the occurrence of learning burnout . In addition , individuals'specific self-esteem can have significant influence on the learning burnout , in which low self-esteem has relations with the high learning burnout ,while high self-esteem has relations with the low learning burnout .The study refers to both the domestic and the foreign existing research on students'learning burnout and the factors which have an influence on it , and adopts the Learning Burnout Inventory worked out by Lian Rong and Yang Lixian from Fu Jian Normal University , SES by Rosenberg and SSRS by Xiao Shuiyuan , to examine 322 students from an Academy School and a University School in Shandong province . Based on the discussion over the characteristic of academy school students'learning burnout , how academy school students'social support and self-esteem influence their learning burnout is also an important issue . Moreover , as an intermediary , the function of self-esteem between Social Support and Learning Burnout will be further made clear. The article is aimed to achieve some supplement and improvement to the research on college students'learning burnout , and is expected to make some contribution to the effective prevention and intervention in learning burnout , to the healthy development of academy school students'psychology , to the academy and management practice in academy schools ,and to the research on policy involved .The results of the study indicate the following :1 The academy school students fall into more serious situation in learning burnout , compared to the university students . The overall level of learning burnout and the scores on the two factors of Depression and Low accomplishment among academy school students are significantly higher than those among the university students ; the level of learning burnout see notable gender difference .2 The overall level of academy school students'social support and its subjective support are all significantly negatively related with the learning burnout score . The higher the level of social support is , the lower the learning burnout is .3 Academy school students'level of self-esteem is significantly negatively related with the learning burnout score , in which the higher the level of self-esteem is, the lower the learning burnout is .4 The level of academy school students'self-esteem is positively related with all the factors of the social support score. The higher the level of self-esteem is , the higher score the social support gets , the more impersonal support individuals reap, the better subjective support they feel , and the more skillfully they utilize the social support .5 Academy school students'self-esteem has mediating influence on the relationship between the social support and the learning burnout . Social support can directly influence the learning burnout , and also can influence learning burnout via the self-esteem .
