Honey On The Pinpoint

Lei Pingyang has been publishing poems since late 1980s. He always sticked to his own aesthetics of writing in the last 20 years. His writing grows increasingly mature in the 21st century, becoming one of the most influential poets of his age. His poems revolve around YunNan province, figuring the poems with unique experience and explicit character of localization. The essay, which consists of four parts, tries to analyze and evaluate his poems though the emphasis on the texts. The first part analyzes the localization in his poems. The second chapter discusses the topic of his poems—the dirge of nature, eternal homesickness and modern introspection. The third chapter analyzes the characters of his poems by concentrating on the image, depiction of details and figures of the wording. The fourth chapter points out some demerits and states the significance of his poems by overviewing his works in 21st century.
