All arts have certain factors in common despite respectively the specific field of beauty. Since our expectation for the music lies in the beauty of the music, how could such beauty be realized? Why the music could render us the feeling of beauty? On the beauty of content, the paper talks about the psychological factors in emotional as well as the spiritual beauty, analyzes in the first part of Chapter two, the process of the aesthetics quality brought about by it. Questions we often hear as above are actually kind of meditation toward ways of the music function. Full realization on the music function, to speak of the composer, can guide the composing activity with a more explicit target and to a better result, while to speak of the audience, can help sense the essence of music beauty purposefully and meaning of music completely. Then, we would raise a question:what is the function of music? Undoubtedly, music is such an art as reaches our inner world to enable us to feel the beauty and based on our needs from psycho, creates a form of our needs, continuously satisfying from various aspects the state of mood and physiological-psychological needs, in the process of which we sense the beauty.However, what is that we need for psychological ends? Apart from the approxmity of music and physical state as discussed in chapter one, there are two types, namely, beauty of forms well as the beauty of content analyzed upon the features of music aesthetics. On the beauty of content, the paper talks about the psychological factors in emotional as well as the spiritual beauty, analyzes in the first part of Chapter two, the process of the aesthetics quality brought about by it. The second part of chapter two concerns itself with the machanisims that operate in the course of music appreciation and listed several needs such as the need for the expectation and release of the inner self, the need for the loose and tension, the need for the rythmic and varied order as well as the need for harmony, comparison, motion and imitation, which appear to be universal. And thus, a piece of music has an infulence over the audience and ultimately meet their physical-psycho needs. Further, in the appreciation of music, aesthetic elements are of variety and complicated.Therefore, to enjoy a piece of music better, or rather, to understand the content of music, we are obliged to to have a grasp of music itself as well as the basic rules that underlie the entire system, as elaborated in Chapter three.To sum up, this thesis mainly deals with the aesthetics of music with reference to its substance as well as its appreciation.
