Comments On The Research Of Wang Yuewen's Officialdom Novels

In Contemporary Officialdom Literature, during many Officialdom Novelists, Wang Yuewen is absolutely not ignored. The publication of his novel Guo Hua has received attention from people of all walks of life. The exact description of official culture,official life and alienation of power and money make great contributions to Chinese Officialdom Literature.This thesis, mainly based on his novels, with an adoption of studying methods such as text analysis and author biography comments, gives a specific demonstration of the two major themes, the three artistic characteristics, the art value of novels. By means of summing up the studying achievements of the predecessors, it aims at providing a new visual angle so as to further dig the connotations and artistic values of his novels.This thesis is divided into 5 parts:Part 1, i.e. the part of introduction, makes a carding and summing-up of the Officialdom Novels in China and Wang Yuewen's creation.Part 2,i.e.the first chapter of this thesis, analyzes the special merits of Wang Yuewen's Officialdom Novels in official culture from many different sides.Part 3, i.e. its second chapter, exposes the main themes in his works by analyzing several representative works of him. The aspects are:alienation of power,depiction of the inner worlds of the characters.Part 4, i.e. its third chapter, expounds the artistic characteristics of Wang Yuewen's Officialdom Novels from three aspects:narrative perspective, unique narrative discourse and the application of ironic craft.Part5,i.e.in the last, analyzes the artistic value of Wang Yuewen's Officialdom Novels, that is:indicates the aesthetic value of realism——veracity,persecution of human nature; meanwhile, analyzes the limitations of his novels:the persecution of the hearts of men is not enough,modularity and simplification in narration.The values of this thesis lie in its overall and comparatively correct analysis and grasp of his novels. It can make up the deficiency of the macro studies on Wang Yuewen in the mainland. What's more, it can also help people to get a better understanding about the real value of Wang Yuewen, such an important writer in the literary history of China..
