The Constancy And Evolution In China's Design

With the development of human civilization and social progress, the art of design in China's developments are consistent and closely interlinked with the previous stage laying the foundation for the development of the later one. Although the methods and scope has strongly changed, the art of design still has a strongly national spirit and content. So, it shows that there must be some inherent rule in it. The most essential law is the Constancy and Evolution. Through the study we can understand the structure of the design and correct the attitude of the designer.This article is about three aspects. The first is about the features of china design in different period and direction. It reviews that the rules of Constancy and Evolution in the development of art. The second is about the phenomenon of the rule in ideas, designs methods, design elements, the cross of the different cultural field. Through the study we can understand the rule's spirit. By establishing the development model of constancy and evolution, we can draw a conclusion that constancy and evolution is the two essential elements united in the art of design, existed in all aspects of design art, and in each period of its development. Just with the rule's running, we keep the essence of art.Constancy determines that there is the inevitable successor in the development of design in China. Evolution reveals innovation. It tells us that as a designer should be conscious of maintaining the traditional, while promoting the evolution, to lead the Chinese design more healthy and rational. Meanwhile, with this research gradually deepened, I found that constancy and evolution are the common phenomena in the field of culture. This study can provide a new perspective, to make us more in-depth detail design history and judge works of art.
