The Advantage And Disadvantage And Dialectical Adoption Of Narrative In Contemporary Poetry

The narrative in poetry has become a important characteristic of the development of contemporary poetry, which has been playing a active role in promoting the development of contemporary poetry, but the abuse and misuse of the narrative also bring many drawbacks to contemporary poetry, and have obstructed the healthy development of contemporary poetry. Studying its developing route, the article affirms five positive functions of narrative in contemporary poetry on the ground of the narrative texts:First, expanding the content of poetry writing; Second, renewing the aesthetic value of poetry with its multiple aesthetic peculiarities; Third, enhancing the expressive force of poetry with the enriched writing methods; Fifth, optimizing the psychological structure of the poet; Finally, and giving the close feeling with the text to the readers.The article studies the recent situation of poetry and indicates three problems in the development of narrative in contemporary poetry, including vulgar content in some poetry styles; some write only by simple oral language; and even there are a few poets write with the untruth.Based on the above analysis, in order to develop the positive function of narrative and restrain its negative effects, this article makes dialectical thinking on the narrative of contemporary poetry studying the text, and asserts the poets should establish the dialectical narrative methodology, giving six specific suggestions for the poets to employ narrative poetry dialectically, First, leading narrative direction with rational spirit; Second, arranging the relationship between narrative and lyricism to make the narrative serve the essence of poetry; Third, narrating should depending on the comprehension dialectics; Fifth, using oral language reasonably; Finally, suggesting poets insist personalized narrative, and deep narrative on the basis of deep experience.By researching the advantages and disadvantages of narrative in contemporary poetry, and dialectically considering the literature practice of contemporary poetry, the article strives to provide constructive positive advices for the better use and development of narrative in future poetry and the future literature practice of poets, to improve the prosperous development of contemporary poetry.
