| Being Alive is YU Hua's important work of his change in the literature idea and life experience. To study its life and death outlook will help us to study the change. Under the effect of Chinese traditional Confucian life and death outlook (not knowing the life, how to know the death) and the deep thought of west philosophers to the life and death, YU Hua used his special death storyteller style and expatiated the death events around FU Gui. These events gradually drove the FU Gui to calmly face the death and be eager to the living, and forced him to cry out that "We will be alive whatever happened". The stifling death scenes described in Being Alive aren't to let persons sink down before the death, but made them "Alive with knowing the death" and feel the good of living. Knowing the death made them calmly face it, know the gain and loss in the life, know love and responsibility in the life, feel the sanctity of the death. Deeply knowing that living is happy made persons know that living is good and happy, and they should bravely live and goodly live. Being alive shows the respection to life-consciousness, the aspiration to living, the resistance and transcendence to death, uncovered the nature of life, and sublimated every life in its own circle.
