| As an important part of public art education teaching, public dance education has become the primary means of aesthetic education in universities and colleges. However, the current public dance teaching outcomes in universities and colleges are not satisfacted. With regard to the teaching of public dance lessons in universities and colleges, reform is inevitable, in order to ensure that the subject is better implemented. Therefore, this methodology of the paper incorporates literature, investigation, research and so on. It plays an important role in promoting the development of quality education, deepening the reform of current public dance teaching in universities and colleges, and enriching the existing theory of public art education.In our country, the main problem of the current public dance lessons teaching mode in universities and colleges is the unclear teaching goals, the lack of systematic and scientific of teaching content, the single teaching form, the simplicity of teaching method and the outdate conceptions of teachers. Aiming at solving these problems, the "2+3 "cube-dimensional teaching mode in public dance lessons is based on "two platforms, three cores". It devotes to construct a cube-dimensional public dance-teaching-system from both form and content. It has the features of wholes, betweenness, operability and adaptability etc. In this mode, the "2" stands for the operating form of public dance education in colleges and universities. It is "dance elective and dance group". The "3" stands for the contents of public dance teaching in colleges and universities. It is "dance appreciation, dance cooperation, dance performance ". The implementation of The "2+3 "cube-dimensional teaching mode in public dance lessons can be mainly ensured by the aspects of satisfactory system, advisable educational management, teachers with excellent teaching qualities, wholesome facilities for public dance teaching and developed researches and teachings etc.
