Bilingual teaching has become an innovative and effective teaching method to improve foreign language level and comprehensive ability of Colleges and universities,since promulgated by the Ministry of education in 2001 from the 2001 [4]document.As the first batch of open coastal cities in China,Guangzhou has a higher penetration rate of bilingual teaching in Universities.The Latin dance course in universities is closely related to bilingual teaching because of its foreign characteristics.In recent years,bilingual teaching in other sports,such as basketball,gymnastics and other sports disciplines has been gradually popularized and applied,which have gain good teaching results and have been recognized by the majority of teachers and students.Bilingual teaching is still in the initial stage of exploration and attempt,but there are still many problems and difficulties.Therefore,this article takes the Latin dance of Dance Sports as an example,starting from the practical problems of teachers and students in Guangzhou University,combining with the Latin dance technique teaching and bilingual teaching,and comprehensively using various scientific research methods,such as literature,questionnaire,expert interview and data statistics,to analyze and study a bilingual teaching mode suitable for Latin dance teaching in Guangzhou universities.And emphasis on the bilingual teaching of Latin dance Technique(as cucarachas? ronde chasse?leading?hip action for example),Chinese and English level of teachers and students in Colleges and Universities,a practical bilingual teaching model,bilingualism proportional control,teaching materials,teacher training and other factors analysis,in order to cultivate compound talents in Colleges and universities are based on objectives,in order to cultivate comprehensive talents of a large number of professional skills,a high level of culture.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)In the primary stage on teaching Latin Dance technique and idea,“English terminology,Chinese explanation” mode and “most Chinese,a small number of English” proportion is the main stage,and gradually transition to the “English term,bilingual explanation” mode and “half Chinese,half English” proportion.(2)According to the different cognitive level of the four types of Latin dance students,the use of teaching materials is as follows: Latin dance Major use ChineseDance Sport Federation technical grade teaching material,Latin dance Special and Association use of Ballroom & Latin American Dancing;Latin dance Public courses use teacher self-made handout.In addition,in accordance with the needs,we can further strengthen the bilingual teaching according to the supplementary teaching materials.(3)Teacher training is mainly based on domestic training.According to the support of schools,teachers' training methods can be increased,such as receiving overseas training,hiring foreign teachers.(4)Established a bilingual teaching assessment system for Latin dance technique,which consists of two parts: pre assessment and post examination.
