The public art education in colleges and universities is one of the important components of college teaching,and it is also an important way to promote the all-round development of college students.To launch public art education in colleges and universities is an important channel to implement aesthetic education,an important link to ascertain the moral education,an important way to foster innovative ability and an important means to promote physical and mental well-being.The public art education in colleges and universities plays an irreplaceable role in cultivating the quality of talents,which has unique value and significance.However,in China's colleges and universities,public art education has not been paid enough attention,and some problems still exist,such as lack of comprehensiveness in curriculum structure;the curriculum is not systematic;the content of the course is a mere formality;the actual strength of the construction of teachers' team is not balanced;the structure is unreasonable,and the curriculum evaluation mechanism is not perfect,etc.These problems have hindered the healthy development of public art education.This paper is based on "personality standard" theory,the theory of multiple intelligences,and the theory of discipline based art education.It mainly touches on three universities in our country as the research objects,through a questionnaire survey,data analysis and field research,I explore the existing problems and restricting factors of art education in colleges and universities,absorbing and learning the advanced concepts and experience of the art education in developed countries,thus putting forward countermeasures to promote the public art education in colleges and universities in China.Through establishing a sound management mechanism,optimize curriculum objectives,building “the mode of pyramid”curriculum structure and drawing up multi-level teaching strategies and other measures,it highlights the integration and hierarchy of public art education,which has certain theoretical significance and practical value to promote the improvement of the level of higher education in China.
