Schema theory which originated from cognitive psychology is interpreted as one's pre-existent knowledge or background knowledge. It inspires the process of translating in information processing, memory storage and in the recoding of the message in the target language, etc. Schema theory facilitates proper names translation in understanding and expressing. Based on specific translation practice, the paper proposes five translation methods of proper names in the aid of the Internet under the perspective of Schema theory, such as "direct find", "questioning", "test methods" and so on. Translators could exploit the Internet resources within proper employment of methods through translation practice to locate relevant literature, find out equivalent terms in the target language, check whether the translation version is idiomatic or not, thereafter improve the quality of proper names translation.
