Objective:"life Meaning" has always been a general human concern. When the Modern science and technology brings in the enjoy of superiority for people, intense life rhythm and work pressure, has made various psychological and spiritual problems among people. With such social background, we take focus on teenagers, because teenage years is the key stage in the life development process. This article starts from the psychological angle, based on the revision of questionnaire designed by LiuLijun (2008), we would establish the norm of life meaning in high school students of the region of Hanzhong in Shaanxi province so as to have understand the overall status of life meaning in the high school students of the region of Hanzhong in Shaanxi, and to provide data reference for the reasearch of life meaning in high school students in Shaanxi province.Methods:in this study, firstly, we revised the personal questionnaire of life meaning in middle school students designed by LiuLijun; On this basis, by using the stratified sampling method we selected 2,100 high school students from 15 middle schools in different places of the region of Hanzhong in Shaanxi to investigate;and after the the analysis to the reliability and validity of questionnaire; finally, to establish a regional norm. The reliability analysis consisted of Cronbach's Alpha and re-test reliability; and the validity analysis included content validity, construct validity and criterion-related validity.Results:1. the Cronbach's coefficient for the revised personal questionnaire of life meaning in middle school students is 0.912, and the Cronbach's coefficient of each dimension is between 0.713 and 0.794; the re-test reliability is 0.862,and each dimension's re-test reliability is between 0.725 and 0.776 (P<0.01); 2. After the statistical analysis, the revised personal questionnaire of life meaning in middle school students has perfect validity; 3. Grade difference studies showed that the scores of Grade one are significantly higher than that of Grade Two and Grade Three; 4. Gender difference studies showed that the scores of the male are significantly higher than that of the female. Conclusion:The revised personal questionnaire of life meaning in middle school students achieved perfect reliability and validity. On this basis, this study created the norm of gender and grade of the life meaing in high school students in the region of Hanzhong in Shaanxi province, which provided a frame of reference for the reseach of life meaning of high school students in the region of Hanzhong in Shaanxi province, hoping to be used as a part of the future norm in the whole country.
