A Study On The Effect Of Cognitive Style And The Pattern-typeing Of Reading-material On Digit Working Memory Span

The paper is to take the college students as subjects and to study the effect of cognitive style and the pattern-typeing of reading-material on digit working memory span and to stydy the interaction between the pattern-typeing and cognitive style.The experiment design of the paper was a 3(cognitive style:field-independent;the between field-dependent and field-independent;field-dependent)×3(he pattern-typeing of reading-material:from left to right;from up to down;from right to left) mixed factors design.The steps of the experiment:first of all,we are to take the subjects as three groups,50 subjects one group-.first group is to take the digit working memory span experiment of from left to right;second group is to take the digit working memory span experiment of from up to down:second group is to take the digit working memory span experiment of from right to left:next step is all subjects to take test of cognitive style. And then the difference of demography variables on cognitive style and the pattern-typeing of reading-material on digit working memory span and the effect of cognitive style and the pattern-typeing of reading-materialon digit working memory span and the interaction between the pattern-typeing and cognitive style was demonstrated by using Descriptive Statistics and analysis of variance(T-test,F-test) and correlation regression analysis and regression analysis.The results:(1)On the level of pattern-typeing of reading-material from right to left,the the digit working memory span of male is higher than female and has significant defference;the task of from left to fight and from up to down of the digit working memory span,there is no significant defference between male and female.(2) On the level of pattern-typeing of reading-material from right to left,the task of three types of cognitive style all have significant defferences; On the level of pattern-typeing of reading-material from left to right and from from up to down,the task of the digit working memory span have no significant defferences;(3) On the level of the three pattern-typeings of reading-material,the groups's results all have significant defferences,so it is to show the effect of the three pattern-typeings of reading-material on the digit working memory span;(4) The interaction effect of cognitive style and the pattern-typeings of reading-material on the digit working memory span. On the level of pattern-typeing of reading-material from right to left,three cognitive styles' results of the digit working memory span have significant defference; The subjects of field-independent on the level of the three pattern-typeings of reading-material have significant defference,the same is as the between field-dependent and field-independent and field-independent.
