An Analysis Based On HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus On Errors About Learning Chinese Cultural-loaded Names

As for cultural-loaded items are those words deal with national politics, economics, culture, history and customs, and full of nations' features. In another word, they have culture semantic. Words that are cultural-loaded are national, and to some degree reflect the history, culture and customs of the country, they have national cultural color. Cultural-loaded people's names, as one of its important branch, gradually receive more linguists' attention. They are Chinese names which reflect the politics, economics, history, culture and customs, and they mainly come from ancient legends, people in history and names in Chinese literature works and opera. They are closed and stable in structure, and developing in semantics.Based on Professor Wang Dechun's "Dictionary of Chinese culture-loaded items", this paper collected 107 Chinese names which are commonly used and have rich cultural explanations. Then we searched these names in HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus and found 89 error sentences about cultural-loaded people's names, then we analyzed those error sentences from the aspect of wrong addition, wrong omission and ill-substitution.The paper analyzed the reason of those errors on the wrong understanding for the cultural-loaded people's names, the wrong understanding of the cultural-loaded meaning of people's names, the wrong usage against Chinese history, the wrong usage against Chinese customs and tradition, the wrong usage against Chinese thinking patterns, and the wrong usage against the Chinese social values.At last it gives advices for teaching Chinese as a foreign language: to establish a subject of cultural-loaded semantics, collect cultural-loaded items and cultural-loaded people's names as many as we can, compile more relevant books and dictionaries, and complete the explanations for cultural-loaded items to variety and comprehensiveness, and try to create more opportunities for foreigners to use cultural-loaded people's names.This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter of this paper introduced the purpose and significance of the research, the subjects and materials of investigation as well as methodologies adopted. The second chapter raised the explanation and content of cultural-loaded people's names and summarized the source and features of cultural-loaded people's names.The third chapter classified those error sentences into the wrong addition, wrong omission and ill-substitution.The forth chapter analyzed the reasons of the errors appeared in the HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus.The fifth chapter gives suggestions for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The last chapter summarizes the whole paper and puts forward the solution.
