As an important sacrificial site of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty in Spring and Autumn period, the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng were caused widespread concern in acadmic circles once discovered because of the types and quantities of extraordinarily rich bronze rituals and musical instruments unearthed. In this paper, the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng is this study's research object. The study based on previous studies and used the comparative analysis to found the similarities and differences between the age, situation of ritual and offering, nature and level in the sacrificial site of Li county Dapuzi hill in Gansu Province, the ancestral temple sacrificial site of Fengxiang county Majiazhuang country in Shanxi Province and the sacrificial sites of the capital of Jin state in Houma in Shanxi Province(thease sites including the construction site of Chengwanglu road, the construction site of the ancient city in the south of Niucun coutry, the site of the first construction company, the site of the coal ash products factory and the site of the second hydrogeology company), to take the futher study of the sacrificial nature and level in the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng, and try to reveal the historical significance by linking the ancient literature.This article is divided into five parts.Part 1 is introduction. First this part elaborated the role of"Ceremony"as a code of conduct in the social and political life of Zhou Dynasty, and the content of sacrifice as the most important specification of the"Ceremony". Finally this part combining the discovery of the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng and the previous research proposed the research value and the research methods of this whole article.Part 2 is the overview of the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng. This part summarized the historical remains'distribution, the species of ritual and musical instruments, implements'portfolio, the phenomenon of offering, and combining the previous views about the characteristics of the times of this site and this site's location in the ancient city of Zheng state and Han state, proposed he features on the portfolio of ritual sacrificial hole and musical instruments sacrificial hole, the portfolio fo ritual and musical instruments and the offering.Part 3 is the comparison research of the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng and the other typical sacrificial sites in Eastern Zhou Dynasty. This part based on the categories of the other important sacrificial sites in Eastern Zhou Dynasty, and expanding comprehensive analysis between these sites and the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng, finally summarized the conclution about the nature and level of the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng.Part 4 is the study of the ceremony situation in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty by analyzing the situation of the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng. This part around the disputes about the performance overstepping phenomenon on the ceremony in the situations of the burials and sacrificial sites in all states of Eastern Zhou Dynasty, to expand to further study. Summarized the features on the ritual and musical instruments using, sacrificial holes'portfolio and the situation of offering, and lots of record in ancient literatures about the relationship between Zheng state and the royal family of Zhou Dynasty, summerazed the view that the status expressed in the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng is the reality on the compliance of the ceremony system in whole society life at that time. Therefore, we can inferred that the situation fo the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng reflect that Zheng state inherited and carried forward the ceremony system which formulated in Western Zhou Dynasty.Part 5 is conclusion. This part summarized the conclusions in this article and the archaeological significances of the sacrificial site of Zheng state in XinZheng.
