Studies On Chinese Modality Adverbs Denoting "Defined Speculation"

The Modality Adverbs Denoting"Defined Speculation" becoming a research focus of grammar. Based on the "Cognitive Grammar"" Discourse Analysis"and so on,we attempt to find the modality advebs on Syntax,Semantics and Pragmatic. We classify these modality adverbs into three department:"ding"department,"bi"department and "zhun"department.They can be used at the head,the middle and the end of sentences,and also be used alone. "xiangbi"and"zhunbao" can be ahead of the sentences; Those Modality Adverbs in the middle of the sentences is common;some two-syllable can be ended of the sentences,for exaple "yiding kending biran". "bi"department can not be used alone. With modality verbs, we study on t three groups.When we want to express our opinions about some events,we always use these words, but among"zhun"department,"ding"departmentand"bi"department have small differences,and that is:"zhun"department>"ding"departmentand>"bi"department.Sematic point:Point the subject when and point to the speaker whe the subject is not the first person. On textual fuction, in declarative sentence and sxclamatory sentence these modality adverbs can be used,but not in imperative sentence.On pragmatic function:On expression functions,they have" High expression functions";all of them have "Focus expression functions";On Messaging features,they have "Messaging features functions";On Stressed functions,they have "Down liking functions".
