An Analysis Of Expression And Decoration Of Lgrejade Nossa Senhorada Guia Murals Under Multi-culture Collision

The paper focuses on the decorative style and expression means of guia church murals in accordance with the local collision and amalgamation between China and the West culture in Macau and a systematic and profound study on it is made.The historical background and reasons of the forming of the murals, and the preservation status is first briefly introduced. The decoration is presented the artistic elements of the murals are analyzed with some typical examples.Then some appreciation points of views are proposed on the expression means including the design position, line, color and composition. Finally, the artistic elements and the expression means are concluded and the corresponding aesthetic conception is presented.The paper, as the iconography research, disserts the multi-culture's information behind of the murals through collecting the historical data and field works.
