This paper mainly studies on how to use Comparative Literature theory to improve the teaching of Foreign Literature in middle school. This paper draws lessons from Crenologie research methods and results of Influence Studies. It suggests that we can study foreign writers and their works through the study of relevant Chinese writers who we familiar with. This paper also draws lessons from Genology, Thematology and Interdisciplinary Studies of Parallel study. In the use of Genology, the paper researches on how to develop teaching goals according to the genre differences between China and western countries. And it also tells us how to teach by compare the same genre of the works between China and western countries. In the use of Thematology, the paper suggests compare the works which have the same theme, subject matter and characters between China and western countries in order to enrich the teaching methods. In the use of Interdisciplinary Studies, the paper suggests introduce the factors of philosophy, religion and art into the teaching. It also tells us how to use those factors in order to broaden the students' horizons and to provide necessary auxiliary for the teaching of Foreign Literature.
