The parallel structure is ubiquitous in many languages.The omission of the same item is a special phenomenon in the parallel structure.The pattern of the same item ellipsis varies from language to language.In the study of linguistic ontology of parallel structures,Chinese and foreign linguists have made great achievements,mainly focusing on the functional types,constitution conditions,word order in parallel structure,and parallel marks of parallel structures.In the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the research on the acquisition of parallel structures mainly focuses on parallel conjunctions and parallel compound words.It is found from the online material that the study of acquisition of the same item with the parallel structure in modern Chinese has not attracted widespread attention.With the continuous improvement of China's international social status,more and more foreign students come to China to study Chinese,which leads to the urgent demand of improvement of the teaching quality.It urges teachers of teaching Chinese as a second language to continuously improve their teaching ability,delve into the teaching content,and broaden the scope of knowledge.This article is based on the research results of Chinese and foreign scholars on the parallel structure and the same-term omitted pattern of the parallel structure.Through the comparison of the Chinese-English parallel structure of the same-term omitted pattern,the theory is combined with the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language to effectively solve the problem of the parallel structure of the Chinese as a foreign language related issues omitted.The thesis is divided into five parts to illustrate.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduced the object,significance,ideas of the research and methods applied to the research,and corpus sources of this article,and then mainly reviews the related research results of the predecessors on the parallel structure and the omission of the same item in the parallel structure.The second part focuses on the ellipsis pattern of the same structure in modern Chinese,mainly from the two angles of parallel phrases and parallel complex sentences,the omission of the same term in parallel phrases in Chinese is mainly divided into the omission of the common modifiers of the colloquial parallel phrases and predicate parallel phrases;the omission of the same terms in the parallel complex sentences focuses on the same-item omission pattern summarized by Sanders,and then analyze the same-item omission pattern in Chinese and English respectively,so as to verify whether Sanders' same-item omission pattern in Chinese and English is accurate,and finally find out the similarities and differences by comparison of the Chinese-English same-item omission pattern.The third part is to analyze the factors that restrict the mode of omission of the same item in the parallel structure of modern Chinese based on the existing research results,such as the conspicuousness of the parallel structure,style,information flow,and gestalt effect.There are many factors restricting the mode of omission of the same item in the parallel structure of modern Chinese,which needs further discussion.The fourth part is to combine the language ontology research of the omission of the parallel structure of modern Chinese,analyze the errors of foreign students in the classroom and the HSK dynamic composition corpus,find out the causes of the errors,and put forward corresponding teaching suggestions on externalities of the omission of the parallel structure to help foreign language teachers improve the quality of teaching thereby reducing the occurrence of errors.The fifth part is a summary of the full text,and points out the shortcomings of the study.This article uses a variety of research methods such as comparative analysis and corpus statistical analysis to compare the same omission patterns of the parallel structure of modern Chinese and English,and analyzes the errors of foreign students in the acquisition of the same structure of the parallel structure.So as to find the cause of the errors and contribute to the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
