The Research Of The Situation Of Using "Lai/Qu" Between The Serial Verb Construction In Contemporary Chinese Language

The situation of using "lai/qu(来/)"between the serial verb construction in contemporary Chinese language is very common. In this structure "lai(来)"and "qu((去)"have very virtual semantics.In many cases, they can interchange. Sometimes we can not ues it,which almost has no effects on semantics of the sentence.However, we observed the cases of actual use and found that the using of "lai(来)"and "qu(去)"are tendentious in choice.In allusion to this phenomenon,the thesis mainly researches the situation of using about"lai来)"and"qu(去)".The entire thesis is composed of six parts in addition to the preface and the conclusion.In the first chapter,the author introduces the research background and purpose and gives a brief comment on the existing research results about the situation of using "lai/qu(来/去)"in the serial verb construction and between the serial verb construction, including the other respects of research about "lai/gu(来/去)"as well. Determining the scope and train of thought about this research.In the second chapter, the author descripted the situation of using "lai/qu(来/去)"between the serial verb construction very objectively. Between the serial verb construction sometimes use"lai(来)",sometimes ues"qu(去)",sometimes neither of them are available,sometimes both of them are available.According to the different categories of VP, the serial verb constructions were divided into three categories.In the third chapter, the author analyzed the using condition of serial verb construction "lai/qu(来/去)",and then investigated the tendency of using these two words from five aspects, that is the relationships between "lai/qu(来/去)"and tense, negative, psychology, reference point and the object of V2In the forth chapter, the author analyzed the function of "lai/qu(来/去)"when used in serial verb construction. By discussing the"lai/qu(来/去)"separately, we made a conclusion that"lai(来)"has functions of conjunction, indication tendency, target symbol and key point symbol; and"qu(去)"has functions of conjunction, psychology motivation and target symbol. In the fifth chapter, we discussed the semantic relationship of VP1 and VP2.It is concerned that this relationship is influenced by VP1, and classified VP1 into four categories which are form with prepositional phrase, common verb, auxiliary and second verb, finally we make analysis separately.In 6th chapter, we summarized the whole thesis and proposed the problems need to be addressed in future.
