"Jiu" "Que" Kind Word Research In "the Scholars"

The Scholars was created in the eighteenth century, known as one of the masterpieces of vernacular fiction. As the language was closer to spoken language at that time, which can truly reflect the actual feature of language then, we take it as the important material to study modern languages.In this paper,the same kind of words as "Jiu","Que" and so on in The Scholars is treated as research objects. The research on adverbs is primary and the usage of other function words and word-formation morpheme go with it,which are given the detailed description and analysis to master the characteristics of oral language in Qing dynasty.And on this basis, compared with modern Chinese, I explore the evolution and development of these words in order to find out developmental characteristics of language from Qing dynasty to modern times.There are four chapters in this thesis:First,introduction the situation of this topic, the research significance and research methods.Second,they are detailed depiction and analysis about the meaning and usage of "Jiu"and "Bian".Third, they are detailed depiction and analysis about the meaning and usage of "Que"and "Dao".Finally, on the basis of the static analysis, compared with modern Chinese,I try to seek the diachronic developmental characteristics of the same kind of words as "Jiu","Que" and so on.
