A Study On Ambiguity Phenomenon Of Giving-accquiring Di-transtive Construction In Modern Chinese

About the troubling of the Chinese giving-accquiring di-transtive construction, many professors have already done some researches from different angles. However, there have been no specialized books concerning this kind of ambiguity phenomenon. Based on the previous study, I propose some new ideas in this paper and divide this construction into three categories according to the different meanings of the verbs: ambiguity di-transitive structure composed by exchanging verbs, ambiguity di-transitive structure composed by separating- purpose verbs, and ambiguity di-transitive structure composed by whole-displacement verbs. The paper discusses the causes of the ambiguity phenomenon of the three structures, the phenomenon of various ambiguity verb grades appearing in the realistic understanding, the conditions of the disappearing of ambiguity, and the methods of ambiguities exclusion. After the analysis of the three structures, this paper finds out that what Chinese giving-accquiring di-transtive construction differs from the Chinese giving-type di-transitive construction and Chinese acquiring-type di-transtive construction, and draws several conclusions from the comparison of them. The paper consists of five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction, and this chapter mainly describes the object, the methods, and the status quo of the research. It also discusses the methods, the purpose, the result, and the drawbacks of the questionnaires.The second chapter analyzed ambiguity di-transitive structure composed by exchanging verbs, which includes the causes of the ambiguity phenomenon of the exchanging transitive structures, the ambiguity grades analysis of exchanging verbs, the condition of the ambiguity disappearing of exchanging transitive structures, and the ambiguities exclusion methods of exchanging transitive structures.The third chapter analyzed ambiguity di-transitive structure composed by separating-purpose verbs, which includes the causes of the ambiguity phenomenon of the separating-purpose transitive structures, the ambiguity grades analysis of separating-purpose verbs, the condition of the ambiguity disappearing of separating-purpose transitive structures, and the ambiguities exclusion methods of separating-purpose transitive structures.The fourth chapter analyzed ambiguity di-transitive structure composed by whole-displacement verbs, which includes the causes of the ambiguity phenomenon of the whole-displacement transitive structures, the ambiguity grades analysis of whole- displacement verbs, the condition of the ambiguity disappearing of whole-displacement transitive structures, and the ambiguities exclusion methods of whole-displacement transitive structures.The fifth chapter is a conclusion. This chapter compared Chinese giving-accquiring di-transtive construction with giving-type and acquiring-type di-transitive constructions, and analyzes the inner parts of Chinese giving-accquiring di-transtive construction.
