The Utilization And Research Of Graphic Components Elements In Ceramic Decoration

Ceramic decoration, same as other art forms, is a kind of means for the artists to express their inner emotion and their cognition towards the world. Usually, the constitution language is the basic elements to express graphic space by vision. In daily life, each form that we perceive could be summarized as one or several combinations of the constitution elements of language. Ceramic decoration also needs the three elements which is the same as other graphic arts: point, line, face even color to form a certain situation and figure. Ceramic decoration uses visual expression to accomplish the aesthetic appreciation communication and deliver a kind of art connotation. In the ceramic decoration, point, line, face is the basic form of figure composition. It reflects the basic elements in visual space constitution and also presents the visual expression of basic design notation. The feature of graphic constitution language directly reflects the art form of ceramic decoration. It could be summarized as the application of point, line, face and other art forms in ceramic art, namely the application of constitution language in ceramic decoration.On base of the graphic constitution, this article focuses on the concept and content of graphic constitution and ceramic decoration, the historical origin of the combination of graphic constitution element and ceramic decoration, the expression and the basic form of the constitution element- point, line, surface in ceramic decoration. At the same time, this article states the modernization, integrity and innovation of the combination between graphic constitution elements and ceramic decoration in order to take full advantages of graphic constitution elements.
