Mei Niang is one of the most important writers in the Northeast occupied areas and North China occupied areas in the forties of the twentieth century. Her novels, from the female perspective, discussed the status and destiny of women in social and marital life in a transition period between new and old times. She has made great achievements in the Northeast and North China occupied areas, and readers are very fond of her. Under the influence of"May Fourth Movement"spirit, women's pursuit of self-liberation was a heated topic at that time. This article mainly focuses on many women images of Mei Niang's novels, who struggled under a weary domestic strife and foreign aggression life.Mei Niang's motivation of creation and thinking of women's survival quality and destiny are closely related to her own experiences. The characters in her novels are created with her own experiences and a deep thinking. Their passions enrich the Chinese women's pursuit of liberation and independence character gallery, and deepen the profound thinking of"human values"in modern literature.Though in occupied areas, Mei Niang's novels do not and cannot describe the anti-Japanese war battlefield positively and the two sides of the competition between enemies and ourselves. Thanks to keeping distance with current political situation, and restoring the real life to the normality, readers can objectively survey mental attitude of Chinese people in everyday life in occupied areas.Mei Niang's novels disclose a strong humanitarian compassion feeling. It inherits and carries forward the theme of"people's literature"after the"May Fourth Movement". Meanwhile, the exerting a combination of symbolism and realism enriches the content of works, and achieves a good result. With the complex social context and the thinking of women's destiny in specific environment, Mei Niang's works have a sharp feminine style. Moreover, Mei Niang is the most important writer in occupied areas literature.
