Left-wing literature and the left-wing film are all belongs to left-wing literary works. They are required to reflect social reality and class conflicts; they pursuit the form of popular art and have the same political aspirations in terms of ideology. Left-wing literature and the left-wing film are all said the "gender" concept, consciousness, and strategies in different interpretation. The article through the view of "gender discourse" to research on two kinds of cultural phenomenon, then it examined left-wing literature works and the movie association of place. Finally they cased the expression to exploit their content and external mechanism, etc. This paper will pay attention to the analysis of historical materials and the historical context. Simultaneously, it will combine the literature attempts to do more forceful thesis to be discussed. From the perspective of "gender" on left-wing literature and film, it attempts to explore the entirety on the problems, through the imagination of paper or screen image mining internal gender cultural connotation. It provides a more powerful broader thinking direction in left-wing literature research.This paper is mainly divided into three chapters. In the first chapter it analysis left-wing literature and the left-wing film gender structure. First we find art works and the social public to the new women on the discussion of the topic. Then it finds the problem of the setting double identity of the women.The second chapter is about the gender settings of the historical context. To reveal their gender narrative and the context in shanghai and the relationship between the city and gender space.
