Zhelimu engraving has an independent artistic value and position in the history of Chinese art, with its unique knife and wood flavor. Since it rooted in the Kerqin Grasslands in the the 1960s, it has shown a strong vitality. And with the unique and strong ethnic flavor of grasslands, customs and outlook for the sustenance, it provides jirem prints creators with a continuous living material, giving rise to the "Mongolian print" rough, bold and constrained but warm style. It has a deep influence on the fine arts in China. With the gradual development and changing for decades, "Kerqin print" has also quietly changed with the development of the society. The participating of the young artists from different generation also makes the content and style of this painting style more full.
