| During the reign of the emperor Kang Xi, he changed the strategy of keeping out Mongolia by building the Great Wall to a tributary system based on political marriage. Then the Mongolia tribes adopted two ways of pay tribute to the emperor: one was called"Nian Ban", which means every tribe went to the capital to present tribute; the other way was they conducting tributary on Kang Xi's Northern Tour. This thesis, based on the textual research to the times of tribute and reward from the emperor of Khorchin tribe, Qarachin tribe and Ongniud tribe, analyzes the factors that affected the fluency of tribute and the economic and political status of each tribe during the northern tour of Kang Xi Emperor. This paper also gives an overlook of the numbers the Qing Dynasty married its princesses to these three tribes and reward conditions after their tributes, and focuses on the analysis the influences of the marriage policy. Finally by analyzing during Kang Xi emperor north tour of relief activities to prove that Qing Emperor attached great importance to relations with Mongolia. To Mongolia the relief from Qing both helped their spent difficulty, also reduced their economic problems because of the possible harassment mainland. Based on consulting and combed the basis of historical materials analysis the situation about Mongol tribes in the north tour and the relation with Qing dynasty, and reveals the political purpose of Kang Xi emperor north tour. |
