In the modern society, the demand for talents becomes larger and larger and the competition among talents also becomes increasingly fierce. Various kinds of exams are regarded as the most important and basic means of selecting talents, so many university students unavoidably have exam anxiety in different degrees. The hazards of exam anxiety can be embodied in many aspects, it might influence the normal exertion of university students, or make them feel anxious, helpless and afraid, lack confidence and absent minded in learning and think unclearly during the exam, thereby influencing their normal thoughts and even bring them temporary amnesia, which will have a strong impact on their examination results. After the intensive feedback of the exam, a vicious circle forms and it makes exam anxiety more serious. This paper is intended to analyze the distribution and regularity problems of university students'exam anxiety and the influence of subjective schoolwork burden and gender on the formation of exam anxiety, thereby providing an empirical reference for various universities'development of mental health education of relieving exam anxiety with a purpose. The research selects 600 effective testees from three undergraduate majors of Chengde Medical University, namely clinical medicine, psychology and clinical discipline of Chinese and western integrative medicine by cluster random sampling method and uses three scales compiled by American famous clinical psychologist-Professor Irwin G.
