21st century, "workshop" as an increasingly popular way of teaching has been widely used in various fields. In the field of dance education, in addition to a variety of title to "workshop" frequently appeared in the short-term courses outside the major dance festival, "workshop" has also been used in higher dance education. This paper including the concept and the origin of "workshop", the feature and value of "workshop", how to carry out "workshop" approach in teaching dance compose and the recommendations of using "workshop" approach in teaching dance compose. Explore "workshop" approach has an important application value in teaching dance compose, reveals the way of creative thinking on the students openness and inclusive, and establish the independence of the individual as an artist, and the important role of formation the multi-dimensional perspective of creative dance.
